VICTORIA GLAGOLEVA: A SHORT BIO
Victoria graduated from Moscow University with a cum laude degree in art, specializing in textile design.
While still concluding her studies, she began as a chief stylist for one of the leading Russian gift wrap and packaging companies. Often traveling to the industries trade fairs in China, India, and Europe, during a trip to Frankfurt for Paperworld, she met her future husband Emanuele and, after graduating in 2004, she moved to Como in Italy to join him.
At the start of her new life in Italy, she continued her artistic education by joining a Master’s course at the Brera Accademia in Milan and, at the same time, worked as an intern for an important and international fashion brand.
Victoria’s character is explosively creative and she is always ready for new and challenging projects. Her husband sees and understands her creativity and encourages her first steps in the adventure that is her career and they found her company.
Victoria’s first boss and dear friend Gregory came up with the name for the studio, after having seen her in action while working in his company as head of the collection. Condensing the description of Victoria’s great capability to marry artistic creation with trends into one word: Trendart.
The studio’s first steps in the textile design world were made at those familiar trade fairs for the gift wrap and packaging industry starting in 2007 at Paperworld in Frankfurt. Victoria’s attention however was soon captured by the fascinating market of furnishing textiles. At the studio’s first participation in the Heimtextil trade fair, her talent did not go unobserved and immediately attracted new clients and commercial proposals at an international level.
