The European capital of the Beaux-Arts and hub of the modern art movement, Paris, is where the story of Isabelle Laurent begins, a city that cannot fail to influence and nurture a creative soul like this Lady of Design. After studying at the Ecole Superieure des Arts Appliques Duperre in the 1980s, she was soon recognized and welcomed into the decorative heart of the Home Decor machine as an important and original creator of pattern.
THE CREATIVE TANK
Her professional journey as a designer and resourceful communicator has included fruitful experiences at a high level with several of the great names in the furnishing textile production field. All stops along her road to fill-up the proverbial creative tank with industrial know-how and contributing to the success of companies like the printing mill, Mie in Ribeauvillé, the Parisian editor Pierre Frey, and occupying the role of head designer for the high-end collection “Taco Edition” at Texunion in Mulhouse.
“Today’s utopia is tomorrow’s reality.”

CONNECTIVITY
Now an independent freelancer, since 2002, operating from her studio up in the mountains above the French city of Colmar, the contacts within the industry where Isabelle refined her skills are now links of an interconnected chain that is her business. Many successful relationships are ongoing as a trusted font of designs, which are developed as part of her collection or tailor-made to her customers’ requests. She also works as an agent for an Austrian furnishing fabrics company.
A FORM OF FASCINATION
The collection that Isabelle creates is characterized by her innate love of colour, moulded by her experience and constantly adjourned through inquisitive trend and market research. An obsession with geometrics and textures, influenced by modern art movements, contemporary lifestyles, and often interconnected to global artistic inheritance generates the predominant foundation for her proposals. The lady’s designs embody a collective lure that assures esteem within the decorative context of modern homes and spaces.
Isabelle was contacted by one of stonefree.design’s team and quickly decided to come onboard. She shares many people’s opinion that this platform represents the way forward for her business: a communicative digital sales strategy is the new way of conducting the inter-net-connected relations that are becoming the core of her design marketing. She has recognized that, through stonefree.design, the creativity and style of Isabelle Laurent will reach past the confines of her Alpine home to the entire world.
